Brent was raised in the close-knit Urbandale area that he eventually fell in love with. Following his graduation from Urbandale High School, he continued his study at the University of Iowa, where he established his academic and professional foundations and formed lifelong relationships. He was extremely proud to have gone to the University of Iowa and was a die-hard supporter of the athletic squads of the Hawkeyes.
His passionate involvement in a number of civic initiatives and projects revealed his commitment to improving Urbandale. Brent constantly gave of his time and was always eager to assist anyone who needed it. His unwavering dedication to assisting others left an imprint on Urbandale through a number of activities that helped the community.
In addition to being involved in the community, Brent was a devoted friend, husband, and father. He found tremendous joy in spending time with his loved ones, whether they were talking over a home-cooked meal, attending a nearby event, or visiting one of Urbandale’s many parks.
Brent will be sorely missed by all who had the good fortune to call him a friend. Despite this, he will always be remembered for the countless individuals he helped, the causes he supported, and the love he sent over the entire world. A native son who dedicated his entire life to making his hometown a better place for everyone has been lost to the city of Urbandale.
