Clark Gable was born on March 20, 1961 to Kay Spreckels and William Clark Gable in Los Angeles, California, where he also spent most of his childhood. As a child who had found fame before he was born, it was decided that he would retire from the spotlight and live a life away from public view. Little is known about the life he led during his childhood, but it is known that he lived a life of security. He was almost kidnapped at the age of one, so his mother kept him out of the public eye and made sure he was always safe.
