Lee Styslinger biography
Lee J. Styslinger III serves as Independent Director of the Company. Mr. Styslinger served as a member of Workday’s CEO Advisory Board from February 2015 until his appointment to our Board of Directors. Mr. Styslinger has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Altec, Inc., a holding company for businesses that design, manufacture, and market equipment for the electric and telecommunications industries globally, since 1997, and as its Chairman since 2011. Mr. Styslinger has served as a member of the board of directors of Vulcan Materials since 2013, as a member of the board of directors of Regions Financial Corporation since 2003, and serves on the boards of several educational, civic, and leadership organizations. Mr. Styslinger received a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School, where he has served on the board since 2012. Mr. Styslinger was appointed to the President’s Export Council advising the President of the United States on international trade policy from 2006 to 2008, served on the President’s Manufacturing Council during 2017, and currently serves on the President’s Advisory Committee for Trade Policy as well as the recently announced President’s Council for Economic Revival. Mr. Styslinger brings to our Board of Directors extensive experience managing a large company in today’s global market, as well as financial expertise.
